Itinerary of The Tour
After breakfast, our 4-day desert tour from Casablanca to Fes begins. We will make a short visit to Morocco's largest industrial city. We’ll marvel at the impressive Hassan II Mosque and also at the Corniche. Following our visit, we’ll set out on our journey towards the Red City, Marrakech. Upon arrival, we’ll dedicate the rest of the day to exploring Marrakech. Highlights include the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Medersa Ben Youssef. Also, the Marrakech Museum, Koutoubia Mosque, and bustling souks. The Mellah and other places, if time allows, too. As night falls, Jamaa El Fena Square lights up and comes alive. Enjoy free time to stroll around. Overnight in the Riad.
The second day of our 4 Days Desert Tour from Casablanca to Fes starts at 8:00 a.m. in Marrakech. It will cross the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2260m). It offers stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains and Berber towns. We make brief stops to enjoy the landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains. The views are breathtaking on the trip to Ouarzazate. Then, we arrive at the wonderful UNESCO World Heritage site, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. It's an ancient, fortified town. It's known from movies like Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. It's also known from Game of Thrones and 红海行动 (Operation Red Sea). Amid the earth tones and intricate architecture, we explore the kasbah's rich history. It is an iconic site. After a delicious lunch in this wonderful place, we will continue through Ouarzazate. There is an option to visit the famous Atlas Film Studio. The beautiful drive goes to the Valley of Roses. It is famous for growing Damask roses. People use them to make rose water and rose-infused products. These include perfumes, soaps, and cosmetics. We can stop at some local cooperatives. We can watch their process for making cosmetics. Finally, we drive to Boumalne Dades. You'll check into your hotel. It offers a quiet place for dinner and a restful night.
We begin the second day of our Merzouga Desert Tour with a delightful breakfast. Next, we explore the beauty of Todra Valley. We stop at the stunning Todra Gorges. Towering mountains there offer a breathtaking view. The tour goes through Berber towns like Tinjdad and Melaab. Then, it drives to Touroug for a lunch break. As we near Erfoud, known for its marbles and fossils, the desert air envelops you. It heightens your experience. Next, we'll arrive at the mysterious Erg Chebbi sand dunes. There, we'll swap our vehicle for camels for a mesmerizing ride. The day concludes with a wonderful night between the tranquility of the desert. Supper and an overnight stay are inside the Erg Chebbi dunes. Local Berbers will play live drum music. There will be a bonfire, and you'll see the stars of Merzouga.
On the last day of our desert tour from Marrakech to Fes, we will wake up early to see the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. It is charming. After a good breakfast, we'll journey across the High Atlas mountains to Midelt for lunch. Leaving Midelt, the sub-Saharan territory moves into the Middle Atlas cedar forest. It is home to the Barbary Macaques, the only ones of their kind living outside Asia. After a stop to watch some interesting monkeys, we continued our drive to Fes. We took a quick break in Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Switzerland, which has winter snowfall. By approximately 6 pm, we'll arrive in Fes, concluding our Three Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes.
