We will pick you up in the early morning from your hotel or camping site. At the entrance of M´Hamid the camel team will be waiting for us to start our desert trekking trip. After a little introduction to the team, we will explain to you the most important things you need to know about the desert and this desert tour: how to wear your chech (turban) traditionally, how to treat the camels, or how you choose the best place to sleep in the night. Then we will start our trekking tour from M´Hamid to reach the dunes of Elmezouria, where we will have the first night. We will sleep this night in tents.

After spending a fantastic night in the middle of the dunes, we will start our second day with a traditional nomad breakfast. The first few kilometres will be flat and sandy and easy to walk. The rest of the day we have to walk on flat and yet rocky ground (hammada). After 4 hours of trekking, we will finally reach the holy oasis of Oum Laalak, where we are going to spend our second night.

Before we reach the big dunes, we have to cross again rocky, flat, and sandy ground. You can see the big dunes of Erg Chegaga already from far away. Once we arrive at Erg Chegaga, we will enjoy the marvellous sunset from the biggest dune in Morocco. To climb the top of this dune, we will need around about 30 min. Again, we will spend the night in our tents.

We will spend the whole day crossing the dunes from Erg Chegaga to Erg Elghoul. This will be the most challenging day of this desert trekking trip. We need to cross up and down from one dune to another and that´s what makes it challenging. But yet we will have an amazing panoramic view following the waves of the dunes and enjoying the melody of the wind.

This is the last trekking day in the dunes. After six kilometers we will leave the dunes and meet the dry lake called Lake Iriki. Which is flat ground. The dunes will still accompany us on our left side, while Jebel Bani will be on our right side. Lake Iriki was one of the biggest lakes in Morocco and Africa. After crossing the salty dry Lake Iriki, we will reach Bivouac les Nomades in the middle of the dunes of Lake Iriki. Bivouac les Nomades is a traditional desert camp, that consists of showers, toilets, kitchens, restaurants, and tents to sleep. We will celebrate together your last night in the Sahara Desert of Morocco in the rhyme of Nomads music in front of the fire.

You can start your last day in the Sahara by enjoying the sunrise of the big dunes close to the desert camp. After having the last breakfast in the desert, we will say goodbye to the camel team. Eighter, you want to go back to M´Hamid where we start our desert trekking or you want to continue to Foum Zguid, our driver and guide will be already waiting for you to pick you up at the place you choose
